I am a person who makes art with the belief that pictures can tell stories as
strong, or stronger than, words. I love art that is narrative in nature (such as graphic novels or sequential art),
but I also love it when a single drawing or painting portrays something funny, poignant, dark, or when the characters within
the picture are memorable. I’ve always loved storytelling, which is probably why I gravitate towards narrative
art, and why I myself aim to create illustrations which capture moments and depict stories.
Born and bred in New York, I ultimately earned my B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College in 2006,
where I primarily focused on playwriting, while also studying art and psychology. My shift in focus
changed after six months in London on a study abroad program, where one of my professors opened me up to the
world of alternative cartoons and comics. As it turns out, illustration and comics are the only art forms which
really combine pictures, words, and the psychology of all the characters involved into one cohesive entity.
So here I am.
After graduating from college, I relocated to Los
Angeles. Among other things, I do freelance art and I sell art and handmade cards at craft fairs and festivals
around the city. I am in underground and juied art shows throughout the city, and I'm continually impressed
and inspired by the art scene in Southern California. Please check my website for upcoming events and feel free to contact
